The Dallas Park and Recreation Department has partnered with Dallas Independent School District to offer a free evening swim training program at DISD natatoriums. This program is designed for DISD middle and high school age students to prepare them for swim team tryouts and lifeguard training courses. We know there are a lot of teens who may not have had the benefit of attending swim lessons when they were younger, or maybe just need to polish up their skills to become proficient swimmers.

Traditional swim lessons may not be appealing to this age group who doesn't want to take swim lessons with 6 to 12 year old children. This training program gives them the chance improve their swimming abilities in an atmosphere that is geared to teens, with a curriculum that is tailored to their age and abilities. This program will help teens take the next step in reaching their swimming goals, whether they be to improve their health, compete for their school, or save lives as a lifeguard. All swimming abilities are welcome.

A full schedule is available on our website. Call 214-587-2868 to sign up or just show up with your swimsuit and towel to one of the listed pools during the program time and we will sign you up then. All swimming abilities welcome.
