Donate to the Scholarship FundThe Dallas Park and Recreation Department offers low cost swim lessons at locations throughout the city. For only $40, you can help us teach a child to swim. Your $40 donation will fund a two week session of swim lessons for one child. Swimming is a skill every child should learn. Swimming adds fun and fitness to a child’s life, and most importantly, may one day save their life.
Apply for the ScholarshipThe City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department maintains a scholarship fund to help those youth who do not have the financial means to participate in swim lessons. The scholarship program is made possible through donations from businesses and individuals primarily through the water bill donation envelope program. The number of scholarships and the maximum award amounts vary from year to year based on the success of fundraising efforts.
